We drove up here from the South Bay with a friend to eat here after seeing a video on Instagram about their Double Happiness meal (fancy fried fish sandwich with caviar). We arrived at 11:30AM, and were surprised that immediately thereafter two other parties entered too. A good sign for a place to have a solid contingent of customers right when it opens. We ordered the aforementioned Double Happiness meal, sweet and sour chicken rice plate, tingly fried chicken sandwich combo with hot and sour soup, jasmine tea soda, and pineapple tonic water. The sandwich was quite good, it’s too bad we live so far!

I love this place! Food is fresh, hot, and abundant. The servers are lovely and helpful. My Ma Po Tofu was SCRUMPTIOUS. I laughed out loud when I read the review by some dummy who whined, "Brandon Jew wasn't even here." Child, please. This place is a treasure and if you're too self-involved to notice, then I'm glad you'll stay away. Come here. Enjoy this food, and marvel that the chef figured out how to serve these dishes at this price. Leave a nice tip. Be a human being.

Delicious food and friendly service! The super savory chicken sandwich was amazing, and I really enjoyed their mushroom mapo tofu.

We got the tingly spicy chicken sandwich and the mushroom tofu dish. Holy wow it was amazing! We don't think the spicy chicken was very spicy by any means, but maybe for the neighborhood yes. The mushroom tofu dish wash PACKED with flavor and needed rice to break it up a little bit, but that's just a perfect whole meal right there. We got two drinks, I got the unsweetened green tea which was so refreshing and very balanced. My partner got a dragon boba drink that was also refreshing and a little different from any sort of milk tea boba but was absolutely a 10 out of 10. We're certainly going to come back and continue to explore more of the menu but please come and try one of the pineapple bun chicken sandwiches because it is just beyond delightful and you won't regret it.

This place has great food. The Lazi chicken is perfectly crunchy and wonderfully flavorful. The rice plates have an ideal portion size with high quality ingredients.

Mamahuhu delivers exactly what you want from fast-casual Chinese food: bright flavors, thoughtfully sourced ingredients, and dishes that feel comforting without being heavy. The menu balances classics and updated takes, and everything I’ve tried, from the General Tso’s to the veggie dumplings, has been consistent and delicious. That said, I really dislike that they make you order from a kiosk, even during slower times of the day. When the restaurant is nearly empty, it feels impersonal to tap through a screen instead of interacting with a staff member. In a neighborhood like Noe Valley, where part of the charm is the personal connection at small businesses, the kiosk experience feels out of place. Still, the food is good enough that I keep coming back. I just wish they would rethink that ordering system, at least when things are slow.

We are big fans of the Lazi Chicken. It's easy to eat, packs a punch, has a crisp. Great take on explosive chicken. Their snow jasmine soda is refreshing, but doesn't taste like watered down tea.

Sweet and sour chicken was outstanding. The place is a little pricey but tasty. Limited seating makes dining in a problem when it’s raining. Also, wouldn’t hurt the female cashier to be slightly friendly to customers JM2C. In contrast, shout out to Alex who was super nice and friendly recommending his favorites on the menu. Cheers!
